Gala at the Perkins School for the Blind

We were invited to a Gala at the Perkins School for the Blind.  The Perkins School for the Blind is the first school chartered in the US for Blind students.

One of the biggest nights for Perkins is their annual Gala.  With décor to adore, Perkins get a grand treatment with the support of the attendees.  More than 300 supporters attend the black tie event and the décor was classy.

Before we go into the décor and the architecture part of the event, I was flabbergasted with the products and apps that are available or developed for people who are blind or visually impaired.  I was very impressed with a phone app "Tap Tap See" that will tell you what you are wearing and give you opinions!  So if you are wearing a red shirt with a green skirt, it will let you know the colors and provide an opinion if it doesn't match!  I think my husband can benefit from the app...Christmas gift?!
